West Java's export value reached 14.11 billion U.S. dollars (17.60 percent) or became Indonesia's largest export contributor during the period January-November 2009, which reached 103.15 billion U.S. dollars.
This was revealed by Head of BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics), Rusman Heriawan, in a press conference in Jakarta.
According to him, the three largest export contributor areas are West Java, East Kalimantan, 13.03 billion dollars (16.26 percent), and riau 8.01 billion dollars (9.99 percent).
"Cumulatively, the national export value of the period January-November 2009 reached 103.15 billion U.S. dollars or 19.50 percent decrease compared with the same period in 2008. Meanwhile, non-oil export value reached 86.64 billion U.S. dollars or 13.71 percent declined.
It is said Rusman, the export sector, industrial output period January-November 2009 fell by 20.97 per cent nationally compared with the same period in 2008, as well as agricultural exports 6.12 percent. In contrast, exports and other mining products rose 28.11 percent.
Meanwhile, the rate of inflation in western Java during the year 2009 recorded 2.02 per cent to nine times of inflation and three times a deflation.
